South Perth’s Stimulus Funds Wisely Invested
South Metro MLC Lynn MacLaren met Prime Minister Julia Gillard at the invitation of Mayor of South Perth James Best, who was delighted to give Ms Gillard a tour of the new civic building and library in construction thanks to Infrastructure Australia funding.
An installation at Sir James Mitchell Park will receive funds in the current round, as announced by the Deputy Prime Minister today.
"South Perth is doing a great job in attracting federal funds for community assets. The Mayor, councillors and staff are to be commended for their success in putting stimulus funds to good use in long term projects," Ms MacLaren said.

The building is fully accessible and has recently undergone a multi million dollar eco-rennovation to become a "Green Building".
Please join us at 6pm for drinks, fingerfood and networking.
We ask everyone to be seated ready for Bob's 7pm presentation followed by your questions.
More drinks including tea and coffee will be served from 8-8.30pm and Bob will look forward to meeting everyone.
Tickets are $35 non-members, $30 members or $20 if you are unwaged or hold a concession card.
