RESIDENTIAL TENANCIES ACT — REVIEW

Hon LYNN MacLAREN to the Minister for Commerce:

(1) Is the Residential Tenancies Act still under review?

(2) When will the revised act be tabled in Parliament?

Hon SIMON O’BRIEN replied:

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.

(1) No.

(2) It is intended for the government to introduce the Residential Tenancies Amendment Bill 2011 during
Autumn 2011, although I am subject in my intentions to the requirements to negotiate draft bills through
all the other processes of government before they arrive here.
