LIME Meeting - Cockburn Cement

Feb 7 2011 18:30

LIME COMMUNITY ACTION GROUP

Dear resident,

ARE YOU AFFECTED BY COCKBURN CEMENT?

In a recent letter from the Dept of Health, it stated that lime dust is a known irritant of the eyes, nose and throat and could exacerbate asthma. It also stated that residents who were affected by emissions from Cockburn Cement should remove themselves from exposure to the dust, and if any dust enters the eyes it should be washed out with water.

Additional care should be taken to avoid contact with surface contamination and every effort made to prevent re-suspending the dust during cleaning activities. Wherever possible water should be used for cleaning soiled surfaces and sweeping should be avoided.

If you are suffering from these effects, or your property  ie  solar panels, cars, corrosion to roofs and gutters are being damaged by the continuous dust from Cockburn Cement, then please attend.

MONDAY FEBRUARY 7 AT 6.30PM

SPEARWOOD BOWLING CLUB, 300 Rockingham Rd Spearwood.

Please bring neighbours and friends!
