To help people understand the potential dangers of waste incineration and other issues surrounding waste management Kwinana Watchdog Group and ACE WA have organised a visit from an international expert who "makes waste interesting" according to Ralph Nader.

Dr. Paul Connett is a graduate of Cambridge University and holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from Dartmouth College.

Since 1983 he taught chemistry at St.Lawrence University in Canton, NY, where he specialised in Environmental
Chemistry and Toxicology. Over the past 25 years his research on waste management has taken him to 49 states in the US, and 54 other countries, where he has given over 2000 public presentations.

Ralph Nader said of Paul Connett, "He is the only person I know who can make waste interesting.”

In January and May, 2010, Paul Connett gave invited presentations on Zero Waste for Sustainability to the UN Commission for Sustainable Development in NYC.

In October 2010, he gave a presentation on the same subject before the agriculture committee of the European Parliament and in November to a meeting held in the UK's House of Commons.
